FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) has recently admitted it sustained a massive hack in March and is now bracing itself for the release of private information. Officials also announced that they suspect UEFA staff were targeted by a phishing attack that duped them into revealing their password-protected login details, yet they have been unable to find any traces of the hack.

The disclosure came shortly after the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI said Russia’s military intelligence body was responsible for a 2016 FIFA hack known as Fancy Bear, when information about anti-doping investigations was released.
